How did this site get started?
I started this site after I had a couple of bad experiences with roomies.
They were not bad people. But, had I known more about their rules and
lifestyles, I would have avoided these roomies in the first place. I would
not have even wasted my time and theirs by contacting them about their room.
The first time I did this, I ended up with roomies who had too many rules.
No guest, no walking on the carpet with shoes, one measly little shelf in
the refrigerator, the rules went on and on. I thought that is was still
living with my parents.
The second time my roomie said he would be having overnight guests. Not a
problem. However, overnight guest turned out to be all out orgies. Being a
bit more conservative this was not a good match for me.
My third experience? I don't even want to think about it.
Naturally, I learned what questions were important for me to ask when
interviewing perspective roomies. My goal is to help match roomies up for
free.
Why is this site free?
Because I want to help people in similar circumstances find their ideal
roomie.
